The Board of Trustees works to advance the Foundation’s mission to invest in sustainable initiatives that improve the overall health and wellness of Salem County residents by providing grants and other support to organizations addressing those needs.
In 2023, the Salem Health and Wellness Foundation is pleased to welcome new board members Daniel Delany, Jeanette Jackson, Kathleen Lockbaum, and Margaret (Peggy) White.
Daniel Delaney is an Attorney with the Law Office of Joseph Kelly. Dan has volunteered with organizations such as St. Gabriel Parish Council, St. Mary’s Core Team, Salesianum Band Parents Association.
Jeanette Jackson has recently been appointed as Vice Principal of Cherry Street Elementary School in Bridgeton. Previously, she worked in the Penns Grove/Carneys Point Regional School District in a variety of roles. She volunteers with organizations such as the Riverview Family Success Center and Project Ivy. Jeanette also facilitated the Penns Grove Middle School TWA Sports Program.
Kathleen Lockbaum is the current Director of the Salem County Board of Social Services and the Local Area Operations Director for the Salem County One Stop Career Center. She is a lifelong resident of Salem County and has been involved in a variety of organizations such as Inter-Agency Council of Salem County, County Welfare Directors Association, Salem County Economic Advisory Council, and more.
Peggy White is the Director of Nursing Emergency Department and Nursing Services at the Salem Medical Center. She has several years of experience working in many hospitals, including Inspira Elmer and Vineland, Kennedy Health Care Center, and Hahnemann University Hospital. She also works with the Drexel University School of Nursing as a Clinical Instructor for OB, NICU, Post-Partum, and Medical Surgical Nursing. Peggy works with organizations such as the Association of Women’s Health, Obstetric, and Neonatal Nurses, Society of Pediatrics, and AONL.
After almost 20 years of service to the Salem Health and Wellness Foundation Board of Trustees, Dorothy “Dotte” Haefner announces her retirement. Dottie has served as volunteer with the foundation since 2004, serving on the Grantmaking Committee, Governance Committee, and in various other roles. The Foundation thanks Dottie for her years of service and commitment to the residents of Salem County.
