New FASB Reporting Standards for Nonprofits

The Salem Health and Wellness Foundation will be holding an information session for nonprofits in Salem County on the new FASB regulations, presented by Your Part-Time Controller, on Monday, June 19 from 10 a.m. to noon at PSEG’s Energy and Environmental Resource Center, 244 Chestnut St., Salem.

Last year, the Financial Accounting Standards Board (FASB) released new standards that represent the most significant changes in not-for-profit financial reporting since 1993. As nonprofits scramble to meet the latest standards, you need expert guidance to ensure you not only comply, but also use the new standards to your advantage.

Among the many changes, the new standards change the way nonprofits report their net assets and now requires increased disclosure about the availability and liquidity of its resources. Nonprofit executive directors, financial managers, board treasures are encouraged to attend.

The session is free and open to all nonprofits in Salem County but registration is required as seating is limited. Call Judy Foley at (856) 299-4460 to reserve your seat.
